Position Summary:
The School of Education at Monmouth University is seeking applications for Adjunct Professors in the Provisional Teacher Program (PTP) in the School of Education.
The candidate would be expected to: teach 3 - 6 credits per semester, which equates to 100 hours of instruction; create innovative online courses that are 100% online for K-6 teachers in the PTP and department; arrange and confirm online class meetings and accommodations; perform grading, prepare and process class materials in a syllabus; prepare email correspondence, end of course reports, various University forms and other required materials related to edTPA preparation for K-6 PTP candidates.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2013
Required Years of Experience: 3
Other Requirements:
Masters degree or higher in Early, Elementary, or Middle Level Education or a related field.
Three years of experience working with grades K-6 that maximize strengths of all learners, integrating developmentally appropriate practices, and use of evidence-based practices to support child and/or adolescent development and learning, especially for Black, Indigenous, and Youth of Color (BIYOC) and their families.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the alternative route process for New Jersey K-6 teacher candidates, including the edTPA requirements for New Jersey and the edTPA handbook, Elementary: Literacy with Mathematics Task 4.
Proficient in methods for online e-learning. A strong knowledge base of current best practice and experience with content knowledge and skills in the area of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise or experience in one or more of the following: inclusive and appropriate practices, including in natural settings and competence in interdisciplinary collaboration; demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: linguistically and culturally diverse populations, K-12 and transition programs; and community engagement.
