The Department of Film & Television at Boston University's College of Communication seeks applications for an Associate Professor of the Practice in Screenwriting with expertise in feature film writing.
Our university community welcomes differences, encourages open-minded exploration, and upholds freedom of expression. The department believes that the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. To that end, we are especially eager to have colleagues join our ranks who support our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, and diverse.
Required Skills
Qualified applicants will have a body of professional work in narrative feature films, an enthusiasm for teaching, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity. Teaching experience at the university level is valued, but not required.
Duties for full-time faculty are in-person and include teaching three classes per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level, as well as service work.
